Hello there lovely readers!
Very late posting this (a couple of months eeep!) but here are the nail art looks for Halloween I rustled up this year. Rather than post each individually I thought I'd just bunch them all together in one blog post for some easy to read inspo :)
So without further ado lets get spooky!
Look number 1 was actually a recreation of an old design of mine! I did skeleton bones a few years ago so I knew I wanted to recreate this fun look with the 3D jewel heart element & I love how it came out! I used a black polish as my base, this is Illamasqua Creator which also has teeny silver glitters in it making it a boujie black! I then used a fine brush & white polish to draw on my ribcage & pelvic bones before adding the red heart shaped rhinestone to finish!

Disney Nail Art Series - Festive Edition - Frozen Nails!
Hi there lovely readers!
I've been wanting to revisit my Disney Nail Art Series for some time as yet again its been a while! You can see all my Disney recreations on the nails HERE, including classics such Beauty & The Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King & more!
Frozen became a bit of a sensation with Disney for this generation of youngsters & the source of many parents loss of sanity at the thought of hearing Let It Go for the 3496th time....I myself waited a long time before watching as I am a hardcore CLASSIC Disney fan & was somewhat cynical at these newbies. However I confess, whilst I didn't understand the obsession, I STILL enjoyed the film immensely & seeing as its that time of year that ice likes to make its frosty appearance...what better for my next Festive look than some Disney Frozen Nails!

Disney Nail Art Series - Tangled!
Hello there lovely readers!
Ooooh its been a while since I've visited my Disney Nail Art Series hasn't it? Well lets rectify that shall we? Disney has consistently been close to my heart my whole life so I've loved recreating some of my favourite films in nail art form! You can catch all of my looks so far including Beauty & The Beast, The Lion King & more HERE.
This one today is for my darling Claire in particular who actually designed that header & mini caricature version of me up there at the top of the screen didn't you know? A super talented artist & absolutely lovely girl to boot, definitely do go check her out!
When I threw out the question on Twitter on what film to recreate next, Claire stepped forth & suggested Tangled! Even though this is one of the newer films, I was very cynical when I watched it as I am a hardcore Classic Disney fan but I actually loved it! If you're not familiar, the story tells the tale of Rapunzel whom we all know is famous for her long golden hair....

Disney Nail Art Series - The Jungle Book Shere Khan Inspired Nails
Hello there lovely readers!
As you may know about me now, I love challenging myself when it comes to nail art so I really enjoy partaking in various nail art challenges on Instagram as there are usually lots of interesting themes & prompts to get the creative juices flowing.

I'll be attempting a few manis for the Clairestelle8April challenge so most of the designs you'll see this month will be for that! One of the prompts is "Childrens Books" & the first book that came to mind for me was Rudyard Kiplings The Jungle Book...not only one of my favourite books but a wonderful Disney film too of course! SO I guess I'm killing two birds with one stone here & have another addition to my Disney Nail Art Series!

Hey there lovely readers!
Its been a while since I've added a new look to my Disney Nail Art Series so I'm rectifying that today by dipping my toe into perhaps my favourite & most relatable Disney film...Alice In Wonderland! Now there are SO many different looks one can create & I definitely plan on visiting this Disney film a few times but I though I'd start with the diva herself...the Queen of Hearts!

Disney Nail Art Series - The Lion King
Hello there lovely readers!
I could not let August go by without throwing in a new manicure for my Disney Nail Art Series now could I? Speaking of, how on earth is it almost September already? This year seems to be going by at an alarming rate!

My next Disney manicure is a bit special to me I guess as it is up there as one of my favorite Disney films & was actually the very first Disney movie I went to watch at the cinema...The Lion King.

Disney Nail Art Series - Maleficent
Hey
there lovely readers!
So
I felt it was about time to add another manicure into my Disney NailArt Series that I've started here on my blog.
So
far I've thrown together some Beauty and The Beast nails & a
suitably fairy-tale perriwinkle blue Cinderella themed design as
well. I thought the time had come to switch things up a tad &
give one of the glorious villain diva's a turn in the nail art
stakes.
Alongside
the Disney princesses there are also some utterly fabulous goddesses
in Disney playing the role of villain whom you can't help but love &
I look forward to experimenting & creating something fun for them
too!
The
first Disney villain I wanted to rustle up something for is one of my
favourites Maleficent. Of course Sleeping Beauty is a vintage classic
when it comes to Disney & a firm favourite of mine, but I also
loved the live action adaptation retelling this intriguing villains
story in a really wonderful way with Angelina Jolie in the lead
role.

Disney Nail Art Series - Cinderella Fairy-tale Butterfly Wings!
Hello
there my lovely readers,
Not
too long ago I decided to begin a Disney Nail Art series on my blog,
combing my everlasting adoration for the two passions in my
life...nail art & Disney!
I
started things off with this Beauty & The Beast manicure which I
thought was quite a fitting way to begin the series as the new live
action film had just been released.
I've,
rather unexpectedly I'll admit, adored ALL the live action Disney
remakes that have been made so far & if my sources are correct
there are many more to come! Cinderella was one of the Disney
classics that was recently remade & I absolutely loved it, not
just for the glorious presence of one Richard Madden as Prince
Charming & the divine Cate Blanchett whom I adore as the Evil
Stepmother! Lily James as Cinderella herself was a bit meh in my
opinion but I still adored the movie mostly due to its beautiful
consistent message throughout the film..."Have Courage & Be
Kind" A motto I think everyone should live by...
I
noticed in the film that butterflies were quite prominently featured
so I decided to use this as my main inspiration as well as the
beautiful perriwinkle blue shade I've come to associate with
Cinderella. Combining these two magical properties I ended up with
this finished look...Golden Blue Butterfly Wing Cinderella nails fit
for a fairytale princess...

Disney Nail Art Series - Beauty and the Beast!
Hello
there lovely readers!
Now
this is something that I have been wanting to do on my blog for the
longest time & for various reasons prolonged but now I am finally
on it huzzah! As you may know about me, one of my great loves is
Disney. It played a huge part in my upbringing & still to this
day I love nothing more than taking a break from adulting &
indulging in a Disney movie marathon, immersing myself back into that
magical world. One of my best holidays was Christmas spent in
Disneyland Paris 4 years ago & I am yearning to visit
Florida's offering one day. So it would only make sense to channel
this passion of mine through another love which is of course....nail
art!
I
already have a few Disney themed manicures that I cannot wait to
share with you, I'll be exploring all sides of Disney, both Good and
Evil in my nail art series, so this will include not only Princesses
but Villains & additional characters as well, if you have any
requests then please do let me know! But to start off my Disney Nail
Art Series I thought I would begin with of course the main movie
remake that EVERYONE is talking about at the moment....Beauty and The
Beast which I went to see last Friday!

Huntsman Winters War - Snow Queen Freya Inspired Nails!
Hey
lovely readers!
After
watching the Huntsman Winters War movie recently I was inspired to
create some nail art after the two stunning, if a wee bit evil/bat
shit crazy/mad, queens of the film portrayed by the gorgeous
creatures Charlize Theron & Emily Blunt.
My
previous post was what I came up with for Charlize's Evil Queen Ravenna & featured lots of dark gothic gold vibes. This time I
used Freya's frosty magic as inspo to create an icy manicure suitable
for the snow queen & this is what I came up with...
I
knew a foil was required for this mani to get the look I wanted &
I couldn't have found a more perfect one than this offering from
Stargazer. When I picked this up at a beauty expo I actually had no
idea what the colour would be as the bottle is a completely opaque
silver like a mirror, why you can even see my reflection...*waves*
But I threw caution to the winds & to my utter delight I
discovered 233 to be an absolutely stunning silvery blue metallic
foil! LOVE IT.
I
do love foils, if not for their stunning mirror-y finish then
definitely for their speedy drying time! This is two coats which
applied nice & smoothly without streaking & dried super
quick!
For
the nail art I decided to actually keep things a bit simple & low
key for once (GASP!) but I thought it suitable as Snow Queen Freya's demeanor is as cool & composed as Ravenna's is over the top mad.
I
reached for some pretty ice blue silver square & round studs
which I applied in a cross pattern on top of the foil, with the
square in the centre, surrounded by four round studs, which added a nice medieval vibe to it that I love as its an era very in tune with
the film.
Seal
with a thick coat of topcoat to secure the studs & Freya's
metallic frosty mani is done!
Thanks
for reading! I'm trying to find some beautiful nail claw jewelery
similar to the ones worn by the Queens in the film, hopefully Etsy? I
think I may have found my seller...click on THIS link if you dare,
you will want ALL THE GOTHIC NAIL BLING! I predict a cheeky haul in the very near future...
Lotsa love to ya!

Huntsman Winters War - Evil Queen Ravenna Inspired Nails!
Hey
lovely readers!
I
finally watched the new Huntsman Winters War film recently which went
down a treat! I thoroughly enjoyed the first film, Kristen Stewart's
awful performance aside, the combination of Chris Hemsworth &
Charlize Theron's fantastically crazy Evil Queen was divine &
knowing that Emily Blunt was present portraying Freya the Snow Queen
in this film, I simply I couldn't miss it & it didn't disappoint
:)
I
knew when looking at the promos prior to release that I had to
attempt a mani inspired by each of the queens, Ravenna with her dark
gothic gold and Freya with her icy silver was just screaming nail
inspiration to me! So lets start things off with the Evil Queen
Ravenna...
Unfortunately
I did this mani in the evening by which time all decent lighting was
lost therefore I had to wait the next morning to snap pics! Because
of this it wasn't as neat as the day before, having lost a few shards
& a bit of lifting! But I'm rolling with it anyhoos ;)
I
started with two coats of this Revlon polish Enthrall, quite fitting
actually, which I actually only picked up last week after spotting it
in Poundland! The dark olive/black with a stunning golden shimmer
running through immediately made me think of Ravenna. So gothic-ly
pretty!
Its
a bit difficult to see but I added a few sharp downwards streaks of
black polish from the cuticles using a thin nail art brush &
black polish.
I
then used some pretty gold flakes I picked up from Born Pretty Store,
using a wet brush to help pick up the shards of gold, I just placed a
few pieces on top of the black streaks by the cuticle edge of the
nail also.
Whilst
doing a recent Born Pretty Haul (FYI you can use my code TRUW10 for
10% off your order) I couldn't resist picking up a few spike nail art
charms too! This I added on to my ring finger as an accent using a
bit of topcoat to help secure it down.
Finish
with a thick coat of topcoat & thats it! A dark gothic gold (&
perhaps slightly dangerous) manicure suitable for any Evil Queen! You
may need to add a good few topcoats to keep those gold flakes in
place!
Thanks
as always for reading! Stay tuned for a frosty themed mani for
Freya...
Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Cute Disney Alien Nails!
Hello there lovely readers!
So looks like Summer's finally found us
in the UK, hurrah! But with it seems to have also bought the
occasional lightening rainstorm! It does make dressing rather
problematic no? But the glorious weather could not have come at a
better time with my partner in crime Ram & I hot footing it down
to Brighton for a mini holiday this week was which was just
incredible. It was our first time visiting & we have fallen in
love with the place so much we're already planning on going back
before summer is through! :)
Got a fun little mani to share with you
today darlings featuring those cheeky little alien cuties from a
certain Disney Pixar movie I'm sure you are all familiar
with...here's a clue...”The Claaaaaaaaaaaw!”

NOTD - Minnie Mouse Inspired Disney Nails!
Hello there lovely readers!
You know how much I adore all things
Disney with a childhood being brought up watching all the classics &
basically wanting to be Princess Jasmine when I grew up. To me Disney
is just a symbol of pure happiness & joy & gosh darn it you
can be sure I'll be forcing Disney on my own children one day like
there's no tomorrow! ;) Today I was inspired by Disney's very own
little diva for some Minnie Mouse nails...
It didn't actually turn out QUITE how
I'd hoped, as I experienced some lovely colour running & not to
mention the pretty disastrous free handing but I still went with it
anyhoos!
