Kco Cosmetics Natural Glow Review - My New HG Bronzer!

Now this post is way overdue & I'm annoyed with myself that its taken me so long to blog about this brand, one that many I'm sure are unaware of, because basically you NEED to know about them beauts! So here's me rectifying this & you can thank me later.

Kco Cosmetics is the creator of the Natural Glow Original Compact powder which has now become my HG contour/bronzing powder as it has literally blown ALL others out the water.

I first came across Kco Cosmetics at a beauty show a while back, I'm actually talking a good few years! I stopped by the stand as I'd never heard of them & naturally the blogger in me is always intrigued with newbies in the makeup world.

It was there that I was introduced to their signature product, the Natural Glow Compact. This face powder promises an instant healthy gorgeous glow to your skin, adding warmth & covering blemishes.

Now I confess this is where I get a teeny bit miffed with the products main concept, as you can probably see looking at my pics here, its clear that the Natural Glow is a bronzing powder of sorts mostly...to me anyway, however I've heard (& looking at some reviews too)  that it can also be used as a face powder, in place of foundation as well? Perhaps that may be the case by using a lighter touch with a kabuki face brush to give an all over glow without looking like you've been tangoed.

I know for certain that this would be way too dark for me to do that & unfortunately on the website there are no swatches, which is a bit of a downside as clearly you will want to see what you are buying...hence why I've done my best to swatch for you here. There also doesn't seem to be much information on the origins of the brand either on the site, disappointing as I always love to read up on how a brand came about...hopefully they will rectify this too.

The formula of the Natural Glow Powder is amazing & what makes it now my favorite bronzer of ALL TIME. I have never come across a powder that not only blends SO perfectly on to the cheekbones, but also defines them, contouring so beautifully & leaves your makeup with the most glorious warm & healthy finish. No muddy patches here!

There is a very slight element of shimmer in the Natural Glow Powder, however this doesn't transfer on to the skin leaving you looking like a vampire out of Twilight at all! In fact, I may be in the minority here, but I've always been more fond of bronzers which have a touch of shimmer in them, Barry M Natural Dazzle was my first bronzer LOVE & still is...or 2nd love now next to the Natural Glow!

I use an angled brush to apply the powder under my cheekbones to define & add warmth, as well as along my jawline, forehead & anywhere else I want to add a touch of glow! If I use another bronzer then I always find myself reaching for this still & using my ELF contouring brush, tap along the cheekbone for added definition.

I've almost hit pan on my current compact it has gotten that much usage but the beauty of this product is that a little goes a long way, it is very pigmented & you only need to touch your brush to the pan to pick up enough product to sweep along your jawline, cheekbones etc & I've had mine for ages! But I know for certain that I will be repurchasing the Natural Glow powder till the end of time. Unfortunately though it seems the brand is only available online via their website....they NEED to expand out! 

The Natural Glow Powder is £24.99 & worth every penny in my opinion, try it & see for yourself my beauts. I've also recently been using the Blonde Terracotta bake highlighting powder* which has....like the Natural Glow, SERIOUSLY impressed me. But seeing as I've gone on quite a bit already, I'll share the Terracotta Bakes delights with you in another post & babes...if you have a soft spot for highlighters then you will LOVE THIS, so stay tuned!

Makeup Winning with W7!

Hello lovely readers!

It occurred to me the other day after finishing my makeup that the majority of products I'd just applied belonged to one brand in particular & its one that completely took me by surprise! The dark horse in question...W7! A brand that has really drawn my intrigue, especially renowned for their dupes of certain more expensive brands.

Its easy to see why I've missed paying attention to the brand what with it not being hugely available on the high street, though I AM starting to see them pop up in more places now. As it turns out W7 have some pretty amazeballs products for absolutely fab prices & I thought it was high time I shared a few of my favourite ones with you!

First we have these three boxed delights, Africa, Honolulu & Honeycomb that were actually my first W7 purchases many moons ago & the love is still going strong. These 3 are all stated as bronzers however I'd say only Honolulu falls under that category. 

A beautifully warm toned matte bronzer that is perfect for my skin tone & blends so beautifully, as you can see I've almost hit pan with this it is THAT good! This is my go to contour shade pretty much every day.

Next up we have Africa which is a pretty pearlescent illuminating powder that I love to apply as a final step on top of everything to give my makeup that pretty ethereal glow that every girl loves to achieve! Isn't the product itself so pretty, embossed with a pretty leopard print design?

Then the Honeycomb bronzer, which is definitely too light to be classed as a bronzer on me however for paler skin tones I'm sure it would be perfect! I love using this to highlight my cheekbones, cupids bow, bridge of my nose & anywhere else I want a warm sunkissed glow. Each three of these powders are fantastic quality, pigmented, buttery smooth, easily blended....& just £4.95 each. What more can you want?

Next up we have some recent buys which I found in TK Maxx, one store which is now stocking W7. After the success of the boxed blushers/bronzers I was intrigued to try more so picked up the primer, eye shadow palette, foundation & cream contour sticks.

The primer (RRP £6.95) which has been compared to Smashbox & received mixed reviews has put all others on a back-shelf for me...for the moment anyways ;) I love it, the purple tone designed to brighten the complexion, this silicone based primer applies smoothly leaving my skin feeling velvety soft & creates the perfect canvas for my foundation.

The In The City eye-shadow palette which I picked up for a steal at £4.99 is the absolute BEES KNEES, not only is it compact, so a perfect travelling companion, but each shade is MATTE so perfect for everyday wear, with the option of intensifying for evening wear with the few darker shades. The shadows are smooth & apply so well with minimal fall out...I can't fault it.

I've yet to try out the cream contour sticks, I picked these up on a whim as they were only a few squids with the idea to start practicing the whole cream contour business (in which the lovely Safiyah has been educating me) but the formula of these look lovely & creamy so we will see how it goes!

For me though the golden star has to go to my final product....the Genius Feather Light Foundation. This stuff has blown my MIND. I took a bit of a risk as Natural Beige was the only shade available in store, but as luck would have it the match was perfect! Twas clearly fate ;)

I'm not a fan of heavy coverage so the title of this one definitely caught my intrigue. The matte glass bottle & pipette dispenser mixes things up a bit, packaging wise. 

I apply the foundation using a flat foundation brush, which is what I love to use right now for foundation application. 

The formula is divine, the foundation literally glided on to my skin immediately within a few strokes creating a smooth, even complexion all over. 

Due to the lightweight formula the foundation felt so light on the skin & lets put it this way...when someone compliments on how well you're complexion is looking...you know its been money well spent. And seeing as I paid a grand total of...£4.99 for this...well what more can I say? I think my MAC Face & Body has some serious competition...*cue mugshot of me wearing said miracle foundation with a slightly flabberasted Miss kitty*

So W7 are definitely winning in the makeup game in my book! Now if they could just expand & get themselves out there in more stores...they'll be laughing. At the moment I've spotted W7 in TK Maxx, Beauty Base, Asda and Fragrance Direct.

Product Love - Collection Gorgeous Glow Highlighter Review

I do love me a good highlighting product, whether it be powder or cream based I can't finish my makeup routine without adding a little something something to give that fairy like finish. I have many favs already including the Make Up Revolution Undress Your Skin highlighting powder which everyone & their uncle has no doubt tried & loved, not only pretty in its finish but pretty in price too! LUSH Feeling Younger, a dreamy highlighting cream which I've blogged about HERE is another fav. However there's a new kid on the block thats given these two a run for their money that I've been reaching for often of late & its from none other than good old Collection!

Collection is one high street brand that has impressed me greatly with their makeup, not just in value but really delivering in quality too. We all I think know & love the infamous MAC dupe that is the Collection concealer which has been on the receiving end of many positive reviews, its one product I've repurchased many a time & will continue to do so! Another product I've fallen in love with is the Gorgeous Glow highlighting palette*

Available in two shades, the blush block & the bronze block, the one I have here is the bronzing palette & is made up of 5 shimmering powder shades ranging from light bronze to brown which when mixed together, result in giving the most beautiful healthy golden glow to the skin.

The formula of the powder is just dreamy, buttery soft, easily blended & SO pigmented, you only need to swirl your brush on to the palette lightly & even then still tap off excess before sweeping softly across the cheekbones as a little goes a long way.

The finish is perfect for my skin tone but this palette would suit everyone as its not over the top at all, not glittery or overly sparkly, instead simply creating that healthy holiday like glow. I like to apply this across the top of my cheekbones, down my nose & on my temples.

And the price of this pretty fab highlighter? £3.99! Yup I tell no lies, for a price as a good as that you can't NOT have this in your makeup stash!
