There's currently a technique that I am utterly addicted to right now & that is Ruffian Nails! If you are unfamiliar with this look, a Ruffian design is basically a french manicure....reversed. So the trademark smile line is down by the cuticle end of the nail instead of the tips as is the norm for your standard french manicure.

Disney Nail Art Series - Beauty and the Beast!
Hello
there lovely readers!
Now
this is something that I have been wanting to do on my blog for the
longest time & for various reasons prolonged but now I am finally
on it huzzah! As you may know about me, one of my great loves is
Disney. It played a huge part in my upbringing & still to this
day I love nothing more than taking a break from adulting &
indulging in a Disney movie marathon, immersing myself back into that
magical world. One of my best holidays was Christmas spent in
Disneyland Paris 4 years ago & I am yearning to visit
Florida's offering one day. So it would only make sense to channel
this passion of mine through another love which is of course....nail
art!
I
already have a few Disney themed manicures that I cannot wait to
share with you, I'll be exploring all sides of Disney, both Good and
Evil in my nail art series, so this will include not only Princesses
but Villains & additional characters as well, if you have any
requests then please do let me know! But to start off my Disney Nail
Art Series I thought I would begin with of course the main movie
remake that EVERYONE is talking about at the moment....Beauty and The
Beast which I went to see last Friday!

NOTD - Mint, Pearls & Polka Dots
Hello there lovely readers!
Anyone else wishing it was Friday
already? ;) But I am thankful to have a wee reprieve from the office
tomorrow with a trip into my fav city London for an appointment,
whilst also squeezing in a visit to the FIAT garage in Marleybone &
hopefully start the ball rolling in to getting a FIAT 500 into my
life, something that's been on my wish list for a while! Fingers
crossed! :)
Who doesn't love a hint of minty
freshness? And there's definitely plenty of that going on with this
super simply nail art I have to share with you beauts today with the
addition of some pretty pearls and polka dots too!
I really liked the idea of mixing a
cream pastel shade with some shimmery foil too for a nice contrast &
I wasn't disappointed. I love this combination together!
For my pastel polish I opted for Models
Own scented polish in Apple Pie, a divinely pretty pale pastel mint
Green. I applied two coats on to my thumb, middle & little
fingers
My foil of choice was LA Colors in
Metallic Green, a gorgeous smooth pale green foil, which I applied
two coats of on to the index & ring fingers. By the way did you
know LA Colors polishes retail for 99p in Beauty Base?! Yes!
I then grabbed the Models Own Apple Pie
again & used a double ended dotting tool to apply both small &
large polka dots on to the nails with the green foil. Then using the
LA Colors Metallic Green did the same but on the pastel mint nails.
Finally grabbing my nail art wheels I
picked out a few pretty pearls to apply on random dots for an added
3D touch.
Finish with a slick of topcoat & that's it! Super fun & quirky design in minutes!
Like I said, I personally loved the
colour combo, however my Uncle did so kindly mention that it kinda bought
mould to mind when he saw these...NICE. Maybe next time Uncle dearest
keep your comments to yourself...& perhaps I'll try a different
colour combo...*coughs* O_o
Thanks for reading lovelies!

NOTD - Negative Space Lilac Metal Nails
Hello there lovely readers!
So alas we in the South East of England
finally got hit by this buggering snow! I say alas as I'm afraid I'm
a bit Scrooge like when it comes to this particular frozen element
form. Trust me when you commute by car long distance on a daily basis
you'll be the same! Fingers crossed it won't get worse but if it does hopefully it'll be when one is at home, can you imagine anything worse than
being snowed in at work? o_O

NOTD - Penguin Nails!
Hello there lovely readers!
Today I have some fun & quirky nail
art in the form of one of my favourite animals...Penguins! :D I think
out of all my nail art attempts so far, I'm liking this one the
best. Not only because its such a cute & easy to do design but
'Pingu' (that funny odd little penguin character from our childhoods) also happens to be my nickname, bestowed upon me by one of my
besties...how I got this nickname? Well apart from my petite
size I've been kindly informed by my friends that when I run I bear a
pretty strong resemblance to this most comical of creatures...*side
eye*...hence why you will most probably never see me run in public ever again
o_O
What do you think? Every time I looked
down at my nails I just couldn't help but smile, definitely worked as
a great mood lifter when things were getting a tad stressed at work!
Here's a step by step picture tutorial to show I created my Pingu
Penguin nails!
