NOTD - Pointed Angles & Polka Dots!

Hello there lovely readers!

Today's nail art was one of my "extreme acts of randomness....just go in with a few magic spells and hope for the best" type designs & features a simple geometric style with pointed triangles & a few polka dots thrown in for luck. I find the combination of sharp pointy edges mingled with with soft round circles strangely satisfying

NOTD - Mint, Pearls & Polka Dots

Hello there lovely readers!

Anyone else wishing it was Friday already? ;) But I am thankful to have a wee reprieve from the office tomorrow with a trip into my fav city London for an appointment, whilst also squeezing in a visit to the FIAT garage in Marleybone & hopefully start the ball rolling in to getting a FIAT 500 into my life, something that's been on my wish list for a while! Fingers crossed! :)

Who doesn't love a hint of minty freshness? And there's definitely plenty of that going on with this super simply nail art I have to share with you beauts today with the addition of some pretty pearls and polka dots too!

I really liked the idea of mixing a cream pastel shade with some shimmery foil too for a nice contrast & I wasn't disappointed. I love this combination together!

For my pastel polish I opted for Models Own scented polish in Apple Pie, a divinely pretty pale pastel mint Green. I applied two coats on to my thumb, middle & little fingers

My foil of choice was LA Colors in Metallic Green, a gorgeous smooth pale green foil, which I applied two coats of on to the index & ring fingers. By the way did you know LA Colors polishes retail for 99p in Beauty Base?! Yes!

I then grabbed the Models Own Apple Pie again & used a double ended dotting tool to apply both small & large polka dots on to the nails with the green foil. Then using the LA Colors Metallic Green did the same but on the pastel mint nails.

Finally grabbing my nail art wheels I picked out a few pretty pearls to apply on random dots for an added 3D touch.

Finish with a slick of topcoat & that's it! Super fun & quirky design in minutes!

Like I said, I personally loved the colour combo, however my Uncle did so kindly mention that it kinda bought mould to mind when he saw these...NICE. Maybe next time Uncle dearest keep your comments to yourself...& perhaps I'll try a different colour combo...*coughs* O_o

Thanks for reading lovelies!

Lots love to ya!

NOTD - Purple & Polka Dots...

Hello there lovely readers & Happy Mothers Day to all you beautiful & incredible mums out there! Truly, what would we do without you? However you're spending your day, hope you're all having a lovely one. My fab & beaut mumma bear & I will be trotting off to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea together later for some quality mum & daughter time, which I cannot wait for :)

                                                                                Moi & Mumma <3
Yesterday my matey & I had an early start & visited Stonehenge & Bath for the day on one of those Groupon thingamybobs, its something we've always wanted to do & I'm so glad we did as it was incredible. I have to say this was quite largely down to the fact that our guide David was absolutely bloomin hilarious, such a character & definitely made the day ten times better! I've fallen in love with the city of Bath, so beautiful & picturesque, we had an ace day visiting the Roman baths, exploring the streets, visiting the fudge shop, enjoying a delicious Indian lunch with stunning views of Bath, before finding ourselves in an arcane bookshop we stumbled across & spending the afternoon talking starsigns & crystals & palm reading with the lovely staff there. An exhausting but wonderful day & I deffo recommend you visit, we already want to go back!

NOTD - Minnie Mouse Inspired Disney Nails!

Hello there lovely readers!

You know how much I adore all things Disney with a childhood being brought up watching all the classics & basically wanting to be Princess Jasmine when I grew up. To me Disney is just a symbol of pure happiness & joy & gosh darn it you can be sure I'll be forcing Disney on my own children one day like there's no tomorrow! ;) Today I was inspired by Disney's very own little diva for some Minnie Mouse nails...

It didn't actually turn out QUITE how I'd hoped, as I experienced some lovely colour running & not to mention the pretty disastrous free handing but I still went with it anyhoos!
