Review - Revlonissimo 45 Days 2 in 1 Shampooo & Conditioner for Brave Reds

Hello there lovely readers,

Every once in a while you stumble across one of those wonderful, life changing, world shifting products that you never knew HOW you coped without. Sounds a tad over the top maybe but such has been the case with this recent find & which ALL ladies who dye their hair regularly need in their life.

The Holy Grail product in question is Revlonissimo 45 Days Total Color Care, a 2 in 1 sulfate free shampoo & conditioner which I received at a PR event & only recently discovered the wonders of. I am a regular dyer of the hair, the colour requiring topping up at least every couple of months, a task which I don't exactly relish! Not only is it a long grueling process but the amount one spends on hair dye, especially with my long hair, can end up quite costly!

It was at a time when my hair was starting to look a tad dull that I dug out & used the Revlonissimo for Sensual Brunettes, simply because I had run out of shampoo & as soon as my hair was dry I was blown away at how beautifully vibrant the brown tones in my hair had become, it looked like I had just freshly dyed it when in fact it was done at least a good four months ago! The number of comments I received after using this asking what dye I was wearing I can't tell you.

Upon discovering the wondering benefits of this little gem I went & purchased the version for Reds because as you can see below...I've now just recently had a revamp with red/black ombre hair courtesy of the fabulous Rockaily Cuts in London.

I now incorporate this product in to my weekly hair care routine religiously. The instructions advise that you use this product twice each wash which in my opinion is not necessary at all. Not only is it completely unsavvy, why you would be out of product after only a few sessions! Plus it lathers up so well that one rinse is more than enough.

The way I used to previously use this was by first using my regular shampoo, at the moment I am LOVING the OGX range. Once washed I would then lather in the Revlonissmo, massaging it in for a few minutes before rinsing out. However lately I've actually just been using the Revlonissimo on its own as I don't want to over wash my hair due to the red dye.

I then use the accompanying conditioner that goes with the OGX shampoo in to which I also add a squeeze of Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner for a bit of extra TLC for the hair. I leave this for a good five minutes to work its magic before finally rinsing out as well.

I never blow dry my hair, preferring to let it air dry. This is partly because my hair is so long, to blow dry would be far too intense a workout which my wee arms just couldn't handle & yes I'll admit I'm just a lazy bum. Plus I straighten my hair, as it will be getting heat from that, to blow dry it too would definitely be overkill. But once dry the results after using this routine of late has been smooth, shiny & vibrantly coloured locks that look like they have been freshly dyed. Happy Aysh!

So my fellow hair dyers, if there is one product you NEED in your life it is this. Not only does it leave the hair looking, smelling & feeling wonderful but it will also save you a packet on hair dye as you'll find yourself needing to top up less often. The Revlonissimo comes in different shades for all hair types, the range includes variations suitable for Brunettes, Ice Blondes, Intense Coppers, Radiant Darks & Brave Reds. You can find it online on Beauty Bay HERE for £9.95...so what are you waiting for...go go go!

Lotsa love to ya!

Introducing Linziclip - The Innovative New Claw Clip!

Hello there lovely readers!

Now, when it comes to my hair I have two styles...down & straight...or pulled back in a pony or clip. I know...exciting huh? If I'm feeling particularly adventurous then I'll dig out the curling wand/crimper/waver to add a bit of OOMPH as it were, however I have tasked myself with the job of watching as many YouTube hair tutorials in the hope of advancing my hair skills.

In the mean time, butterfly claw clips are my go to accessory for when I want my long hair out of the way. However as much as I love them, these can also be a tad troublesome....bulky sized making leaning back an uncomfortable task, insecure/loose grip, poking into the scalp painfully etc. But I'm happy to share with you beauties a nifty little invention that was recently brought to my attention & has made all aforementioned problems a thing of the past...

Let me introduce you to the *Linziclip, a new & innovative claw clip accessory that has been manufactured in an entirely new concept that is not only easy to use, but grips the hair securely & is supremely comfortable to wear thanks to its nifty design.

What makes Linziclip so special I hear you ask? Thanks to the clever designing of a flat back, the teeth & springs of the clip are nicely hidden & best of all you are able to lean back in comfort without having the claws digging into your scalp as is the case with the majority of butterfly claw clips & is a major nuisance I'm sure you'll agree!

The Linziclip is available in not just one but three different sizes...

A large maxi claw for when you wish to loop up & secure your entire length of hair up.

A midi claw which is more suited for medium to thicker hair & is perfect for putting back part of the hair for a half up half down look.

And finally you can also get these adorable itty bitty mini clips which are suitable for all hair types & great for securing sections of hair from the sides.

Here I've used the midi clip, which comes in a variety of different designs & colours, this one has an adorable daisy print. I find the midi Linziclip to be perfect for securing back the top & side sections, leaving the back length loose in a casual style.

The grip of the Lenziclips is fantastic, once in place it does not shift, no stray hairs slip from the teeth & the best thing of all is that you can lean back in your seat in comfort, whilst driving, heck even lie down & you won't have it digging into your scalp.

I am utterly digging these Linziclips & have happily locked away all my old butterfly clips to a thing of the past. I've also noticed a few mysteriously going walkies after 'lending' to the bestie & mother ship...*eyebrow raise* tis a good thing I love them ;)

The Linziclips range in price from £3.50 to £8.00 depending on design & size which is a bargain & you can find them on Amazon & Ebay. Thanks for reading!

Lotsa love to ya!

Dove Love...

Hello there lovely readers!

Dove is one of those classic brands that, for me, always delivers well. To this day the infamous Dove soap is the only soap mumma bear will purchase, their body care products are wonderfully moisturising & the shampoos always leave my locks feeling lush. Speaking of hair they also happen to be the makers of my current favourite hair product, the Pure Care Dry Oil (RRP £9.99).

Much like facial oils, hair oil was another product that I only recently incorporated into my care routine & boy is me & mine hair glad for it! Used correctly, adding a drop or two of hair oil to your routine can help keep those locks luscious & healthy looking.

What I love about the Dove Pure Care Oil, which contains African Macadamia oil, is not only the DIVINE scent but the finish it gives my hair. Just one pump is all I need for my long locks & I simply rub the product between my hands to warm, then run through the length adding extra attention to the ends. After applying my hair is left smooth, sleek, visibly shinier, smelling divine & all without being weighed down. WIN.

Dove have also recently added some newbies to their range of antiperspirants titled *Soft Feel. For this range Dove has partnered with renowned global fragrance house Givaudan to produce a collection of products with a luxurious yet delicately feminine fragrance of musk & amber which I adore.

Available as both roll on (RRP £2.39) & spray (RRP £2.99/70ml & £3.79/125ml) formulations, both include Dove's signature ¼ moisture cream that makes their products a pleasure to use. The whole Dove range including both hair & body products can be found in most supermarkets & chemists. I definitely have strong love for Dove! Thanks for reading!

Lotsa love to ya!

Review - Va Va Voom Volume with Hot Hair Brianna Hair Piece

Hello there lovely readers!

Now when it comes to hair styling...I am extremely boring. As much as I would love to be a pro, no matter how many YouTube videos I watch, it always ends up an epic fail. Therefore because of this, & due to the long length, I am a bona fide straightener addict. And as much as I enjoy having long, straight hair therein lies one issue...NO VOLUME. Behold...

Mane & Tail Horse Shampoo...Yay or Neigh???

Hey there lovely readers!

See what I did there? I should apologise but feeling pathetically proud of my little word play there...
Ahem! Anyhoos moving on lovelies, so...Horse Shampoo? Thoughts? You may have heard about this much hyped shampoo on the market, Mane & Tail, which is catered not only for horses but humans too! Naturally I was intrigued & on one of my trips to London I popped into Liberty’s & found myself leaving with it happily thinking at last...I shall now have beautiful long locks a la Black Beauty.
