Hey
there my lovely readers!
So
May is upon us! And with it the return of 5 day working
weeks...*wails in despair* I confess one of the many reasons I love
Spring time (though its obvious that Spring is clearly broken at the
moment) is the abundance of bank holidays, oh how we've been spoilt
with these glorious long weekends.
Not
the greatest start to the month with yours truly having a wisdom
tooth extraction which I elected to have under local anesthetic
because I'm either mental or a masochist. Most likely a bit of both.
So one is currently on a cocktail of painkillers & anti-inflammatory's
that could knock an elephant on its ass. Happy Days *cue creepy drug
induced grin*
Powering
on, today I have another deliciously delightful nail polish offering
from True Brit London's newly released collection, pink ladies this
is one for you...
What
did I tell you? Swoon worthy right? This beautiful polish goes by the
title *Sunday Best & is a stunning glossy fuchsia peony pink that
gets its glorious edge with the addition of an opalescent pearly
shimmer giving this pink a magical iridescent glow.
The
formula of Sunday Best is gorgeous as well, so pigmented you could
get away with one coat but I always opt for two for true opacity.
The
finish you are left with is a super satisfying smooth & shiny
gloss, unghghghgn so dreamy...sorry, I would blame the drugs but you
know I just go doolally over pretty polish
I
said before in my previous post that Seaside may be my favourite new
shade so far but it definitely has some serious competition with this
bad boy...
As
always I couldn't resist dabbling in a spot of nail art with this
pretty shade & as this polish goes by the name Sunday Best I
thought why not add on some smart white bow ties!
My
friend informed me that these actually reminded her of Hello
Kitty...not my original intention but hey I'll roll with that! Who
doesn't adore a spot of kawaii Hello Kitty?
And
creating bow ties is super easy to, to show you how I've done a quick
step by step pictorial for you...
Start
with applying a single white dot in the centre of your nail using a
dotting tool and white polish
Then
using a thin nail art brush with the white polish, add an angled line
on either side of the dot going upwards
With
the same brush & more polish add two more angled lines, these two
going downwards so that it looks like a cross almost
Then
using more white polish fill in the both sides of your bow tie.
Now
using some black polish, outline the centre knot and the edges of
your bow tie to really make it stand out
And
then for a final detail add on two smaller black lines either side of
your centre knot and thats it!
Top
it all with topcoat and you have your smart bow tie/Hello Kitty
nails!
Sunday Best & other beautiful True
Brit London polishes retail for £12.50 and can be found online.
Thanks as always for reading my lovelies! I'm off to swig from my
bottle of Calpol, catch you next time!
Lotsa
love to ya!
