Afternoon Tea Adventures - The Hilton Paddington

Hey there lovely readers!

Yup its that time again friends, more tea and cake goodness! It was my birthday last month in September, Virgo babies FTW! And in celebration I partook in an Afternoon Tea or two EVERY weekend & thus I have LOTS of material to blog for you including finally visiting the famous Fortnum & Mason's as well as a Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Themed Tea so there will be plenty of reviews to come...!

My lovely pal Fei & I arranged to meet in the capital for a quick catch up a while back & decided to find somewhere nice for a spot for tea by Paddington as it was a convenient location for the both of us. Thankfully located right by the station is a Hilton hotel, whose Afternoon Tea I had already sampled at one of their other locations, you can read my review of that HERE. And after being incredibly impressed I was more than happy to give the Paddington offering a go!

It was raining cats, dogs & camels on the day, so another reason to be thankful that the hotel is located about 2 minutes from the station! We arrived at the Hilton & were delighted to see we had the room were we would be partaking our afternoon tea all to ourselves :)

The decor at the Hilton is lush, all baroque chairs, sleek wooden flooring & tasteful art pieces placed around. We opted for a window seat so that a spot of people watching could also be done, naturally on this particular occasion our form of entertainment was mostly people grappling with their umbrellas!

We both opted for a nice English Breakfast as our tea of choice which was brought out in a beautifully patterned ceramic pot, you know I love me a good piece of crockery! And we didn't have to wait long for the main event itself which shortly followed...

Our Afternoon Tea delights were brought out in an absolutely beautiful birdcage serving tier, so pretty & unique! But of course its the wares within that were calling to us...

First up the sandwiches of course, these were a lovely variety of both bread & brioche buns & fillings selections included smoked salmon, cheese & pickle, egg mayonnaise, & beef. You can of course request vegetarian or mention any other dietary requirements beforehand.

The scones were on the topmost tier & these were delightful, perfectly sized, both raisin & plain & dusted with icing sugar accompanied with the obligatory strawberry jam & clotted cream. Some fresh strawberries were a delightful wee addition.

And finally the sweet treats in the middle! In this tea we were served a lovely assortment including macaroons, fruit tart, chocolate brownie & a soft sponge with strawberry cream.

Throughout our time at the Hilton our pot of tea was replenished when requested & we were able to enjoy a pleasant couple of hours in the warm cosy surroundings enjoying our experience. The Hilton Afternoon Tea is not only delightful but also excellent value for money at just £18 pp. so if you are looking to book a last minute afternoon tea in London & not sure where to go...I can vouch that The Hilton will deliver & then some!

Thanks as always for reading! You can catch all of my Afternoon Tea Reviews HERE. Until next time! As mentioned, I have lots of reviews in the line up so have your cuppas at the ready!

Lotsa love to ya!
