Along with my nails & afternoon tea reviews, I'm sure you're familiar by now of my fondness for switching up my eye colour & rocking a coloured contact lens on occasion.
You can read all of my contact lens reviews HERE which predominantly feature the brand Klenspop, who in particular specialise in cute kawaii lenses that enhance the eyes beautifully.
As much as I adore these however, I wanted to try something a bit more different & natural looking so decided to have a browse in other places to see what I could find & stumbled across the brand TTD Eye on a friends Instagram account. The lens she wore looked so stunning yet really lovely & natural so inevitably I headed straight to the website to order me a pair which happened to be the Polar Lights Yellow Green Lens.
TTD Eye offer free worldwide shipping which is a bonus & these came to about $25 so around £20 as they were on sale at the time, double bonus!
The lenses arrived pretty promptly within a couple of weeks & in your package you receive your lenses, lens holder, plus a case FOR your lens holder which was new but a really nice addition as it keeps them extra secure as well as some tweezers & spatula to shift the lenses from the packaging to the holder safely. As always here is a quick breakdown of these lenses:
Water content: 38%~45%
Base curve: 8.5mm~8.6mm
Period of use: 12 months
Packaging: 1 Pair(2 lenses)
You can of course select the correct diopter for your lenses if you wear prescription. Either that or just choose option 0.00 for each eye. The Polar Lights Yellow Green lenses are a interesting combination of both pale green & a golden yellow tone giving a really pretty lightened look to the lens, I honestly couldn't wait to give them a whirl so without further ado here is a quick before pic of me with my natural browns...
And here we have the Polar Lights Yellow Green in action...
Firstly apologies for the slight blurred pics there, my camera chose to have a hissy fit episode on me clearly O_o
I am absolutely in LOVE with the finished effect these give, bright eyed yet a light natural looking finish & I think the shade is very flattering against asian skin tones
The diameter of these are a lot smaller than the Klenspop lenses, yet they were still very comfortable to wear. I usually wear my lenses for a period of a few hours anyway if I can & if longer then I always carry around eye drops to keep them moisturised.
The addition of the yellow tones mixed in with the green gives these lenses the most beautiful finish & they stand out really well & strongly against my brown eyes, I honestly love them so much!
With the correct care these lenses will also last about a year & I can be sure I'll be getting a lot of use out of them so are definitely worth the investment.
You can purchase TTD Eye lenses online & with a wide range of lenses to choose from you are bound to find something to your liking! I am already eyeing up some of the blue ones...Thanks as always for reading!
Lotsa love to ya!
