NOTD - Turquoise Rhinstone Nails

Bonjour mon petit choux! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend & enjoying the weather. Mine's been pretty low key, simply spending time with the fam & enjoying the rays. Though I've given up on evening out the extremely dodgy tan I've got going on which has my limbs in completely different shades to everything else! Oh well...it amuses me. Zebra Aysh I shall be.

Feeling the turquoise vibes today with this manicure featuring a couple of those beaut Models own Hyper Gels & some pretty rhinestone goodness courtesy of Born PrettyStore... I think this may be up there with some of my favourite manis so far I am so in love with it!

How gorgeously glossy & swoon-worthy are those shades?! I wanted to go for two tones so used Models Own Turquoise Gloss & Blue Glint Hyper Gels on alternative nails & I thought they went together beautifully...

The formula of these polishes are just divine, so smooth & glossy, an absolute dream to apply. Turquoise Gloss is a stunning vibrant jade green shade & Blue Glint a beautiful sky blue! Love love love them both!

The pretty *metallic square & round rhinestones are from what is close to becoming a wee little obsession of mine, *Born Pretty Store, an online retailer of nail art supplies amongst other things. I am seriously like a little kid in a sweet store whenever I browse the site, in fact I've just done another cheeky little haul now!

I applied the stones around the cuticle, I love how they just transform the mani with their petty jewel like effect. I definitely recommend you check out Born Pretty Store, not only are the prices absolutely bargainous but they also offer free worldwide shipping. And if that wasn't awesome enough, you lovelies can also get an extra 10% off if you use my code TRUW10. Go go go!

Hope you liked the turquoise rhinestone nails my dears! Till next time!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Neon Splodge Manicure

Ell ello sweetpeas, hope you're all having a lovely Sunday!

Have your shades at the ready lovelies as I've got some super bright neon goodness coming your way today with this insanely bright mani which I have creatively titled “neon splodge nails”...unique huh?

This is the mani I wore for my trip to Brighton last week, I wanted something cheerful & vibrant & what better polishes to use than the fab Polish For Tans collection by Models Own which I used in my Psychedelic Floral mani not long ago & am still loving!

This collection of polishes consisting of five bright neon cremes are simply made for summer & I couldn't just pick one so decided to use ALL five shades to create this fun arty “splodge” manicure!

The design itself also could not be easier! To create this design I started off with painting all my nails white as my base & of course white helps really make those neon colours POP!

Then using one shade at a time, I added about three 'splodges' to each nail , making sure the brush is not completely loaded with too much polish otherwise you'll end up with large blobs of polish puddles everywhere ;) after using the first shade, I then went in with second & so on until I had filled up the whole nail using all five shades.

If you see any bits of white still peeping through then simply dot over those with the last shade. Finish with a nice thick coat of top coat & that's it! This is such a fun nail design, I absolutely loved the finished result & cannot wait to try it again!:D

Hope you liked the bright nails my lovelies! You can remove the shades now. Thanks for reading & catch up soon!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Cute Disney Alien Nails!

Well helloooo there lovelies!

So looks like Summer's finally found us in the UK, hurrah! But with it seems to have also bought the occasional lightening rainstorm! It does make dressing rather problematic no? But the glorious weather could not have come at a better time with my partner in crime Ram & I hot footing it down to Brighton for a mini holiday this week was which was just incredible. It was our first time visiting & we have fallen in love with the place so much we're already planning on going back before summer is through! :)

Got a fun little mani to share with you today darlings featuring those cheeky little alien cuties from a certain Disney Pixar movie I'm sure you are all familiar with...here's a clue...”The Claaaaaaaaaaaw!”

Hehe whatchya think? Sometimes its nice to have some random fun on your nails ;) To create this mani I used two lovely pretties from Zoya, Muse & Tilda...

First lets just enjoy the stunning sparkly prettiness that is Zoya Muse please? Part of the Summer 2014 Bubbly Collection isn't it a BEAUT? Described by Zoya as a 'blue raspberry holographic fizz with a subtle vein of gold”...well...I won't even bother describing it further as that's pretty much spot on, I adore it!

For the aliens I used Zoya Tilda from the Summer 2014 Tickled collection. Its definitely an intriguing shade & not one I'd normally reach for but the bright creamy avocado green immediately brought to mind those cute little aliens from Toy Story so naturally...I couldn't resist whacking those little buggers on mah nails!

To create the aliens I just applied Tilda in a half moon on to the tips, before going in with a fine nail art brush & dotting tool dipped into the same polish to add the ears & antennas (is that what one would call those?!) For the eyes I used my Barry M nail art pens in white & black. Sealing it all with topcoat & that's it!

Hope you liked the mani lovelies! Enjoy your weekends & catch up soon!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Map Print With New Digitally Customised ArtPro Nails!

Happy Sunday lovely readers, hope you are all having a nice weekend!

Okay, so I'm pretty excited about today's post about my favorite topic...nails! I'm sure it comes as no surprise when I say that polish is my first love, however a new innovation in the nail salon world has come to my attention recently...digitally customized nails. Have you ever seen a print that you adore, a favorite dress or a piece of art, & thought “Ooh, I'd love that on my nails!”?, I know I have & now this can actually be possible thanks to the ArtPro Nail Printers, which are slowly finding their way in to nail salons all over the UK!

This fab system, which can digitally print any image onto natural or synthetic nails, first came to my attention via Twitter, were I found myself chatting with the lovely Wendy of Inailz, who are the distributors of the digital printers in Ireland. I was intrigued by the concept of them & so when Wendy kindly offered to send some customized nails for me to try...how could I refuse?! When it came to picking what image I wanted, I had a hard time selecting however I find myself a bit obsessed with vintage map prints at the moment, I just love them, so I browsed Google Images for a print I liked, sent it to Wendy & voila....hello pretty Map Print nails!

Seriously, how bloomin fab do they look?! I could not stop staring at them, the design is stunningly eye catching & I was simply blown away by the gorgeous detail! I think its safe to say I was excited...

The nail kit contains a set of 20 artificial nails printed with your chosen design in various sizes, step by step instructions, a nail file, nail glue & stick on pads as well in case you don't wish to glue on the nails.

I love how the nails themselves are of a nice natural length that would not make everyday tasks hugely problematic. There are a range of sizes so finding a fit to your nail is very easy, you simply snap off the nail & stick or glue the nail onto the nail bed. Naturally when I finally had my nails on I went a bit snap happy...

What do you think? I am seriously obsessed with these, I cannot get enough & already want more! The nails themselves are very comfortable & can easily be filed down ,which I did after a few days to prolong the wear as I simply did not want to take them off! Topcoat can also be applied to preserve the design & add shine!

The ArtPro nail printers will hopefully be popping into many nail salons gradually, I honestly think they would do so well! However Inailz in Ireland, also offer these nail kits with your chosen design on their website. But fret not UK lovelies as ArtProNail now have a UK based website where you will also be able to order your own customized nails very soon! So definitely keep an eye out, I know I will be!

Thanks for reading lovelies! If you could have your own customized nails, what print would you choose?

Lotsa love to ya!

What I Wore...Posies & Paisley OOTD

Ello ello sweetpeas & a happy weekend to you!

Boy am I glad to see it too, this week has been all kinds of cray at work, yet I did manage to grab a wee break on Thursday by popping in to the big city for the Pegasus PR event in Mayfair which was lovely. A fab time was had getting my hair did as well as catching up & grabbing a delicious bubble tea with my blogger pal Jo. Also looking forward to next week which will be delightfully shortened as my chum Ram & I will be taking a wee road trip down to Brighton! Its my first time visiting & I cannot wait after hearing lots of great things!

A quick little outfit post on the ol' blogaroony today dears featuring two of my favourite prints all in one delightful dress ...posies & paisley!

Isn't the print simply swoon worthy? I found this little gem tucked away in the New Look sale rack for a most bargainous £7, the colours & design of the print drawing me to it like a moth to flame & because it was such a steal I didn't even feel a smidgen of guilt at adding yet another dress to my worryingly overflowing wardrobe!

The kitten slingbacks were an M&S purchase donkeys ago, I always make sure whenever M&S have a sale on, to have a quick browsy at their shoes as I've found some lovely finds in the past!

One thing I'm loving at the mo is hair accessorising. I'm extremely boring when it comes to my hair, usually just straightening the locks so I love looking for other ways to jazz it up. Now as much as I love those floral crown doodads, I fear they simply make me look a bit silly on account of my midge head! However I'm still able to get my floral fix thanks to this glorious headpiece designed by my super talented friend Jene Stefaniak...

I mean I'm not being biased at all ;) but damn is this girl talented! Jene is currently living the life & following her dream in NYC as a fashion designer & specializes in bespoke couture & detailed handmade garments like this beautiful headband she custom designed for me which not only features florals but a bit of lace for a gothic edge which is right up my street...J'ADORE!

Thank you my darling friend! I'm telling ya, this girl is going places. Thanks for stopping by lovelies, enjoy your Saturdays!

Lotsa love to ya!

NOTD - Chanel Inspired Quilted Nails

Hello lovely readers, hope you're having a good weekend!

Today I have some Chanel inspired quilted nails to share with you, this is a design I've wanted to try for absolutely YONKS & even though I'm not 100% happy with how they came out, for a first attempt I'm still pretty chuffed with the result & I hope you like them too!

What do you think? To create this design I started off with a simple black polish of which I applied two coats, here I've used Black Apple Black.
I then applied a thick coat of Rimmel Matte Finish Mattifying topcoat over the black which...yup you guessed it...makes the black polish lovely & matte! Who'd have thunk?!

To create the Chanel like quilted effect, I used a small blunt plastic knife that I found which might still have been too sharp edged for this sort of thing as the lines went straight through the polish when ideally you only need to dent it? But I wasn't sure what else to use & this was all I could find!

Using the knife & applying (light!) pressure by pressing on to the nail I created the 'quilt' like pattern by doing roughly 3-4 lines in opposite diagonal directions to create the diamond pattern.

Then using a spot of clear polish & a toothpick, I added the tiny golden balls to each diamond point to complete the design. To keep the balls in place I added another coat of the matte topcoat to finish which actually helped fill in the deep grooves a bit so woohoo! :)

Overall though I am loving this design, even though it did take bloomin yonks for it to dry as I wanted to keep it matte, so couldn't even apply a speed dry topcoat haha! But its classy yet edgy & who doesn't have a soft spot for a bit of black & Chanel?

Thanks as always for reading lovelies!

Lotsa love to ya!

Independence Day Nails!

Hi there dolls! Aaaah Friday...you've come...AT LAST. Loooord this week has been all kinds of hell I can't even tell you, so I most definitely won't bore you with the details my dears, instead I've decided to get in the USA spirit of things with some Independence Day inspired nails in honour of our American cousins 4th July celebrations!

To create these nails I used a random medley of polishes that I simply grabbed from my stash, hunting for some suitably red, blue and white shades. I started off with the red base using this cute little foreign brand polish called Arezia that my sis-in-law bought back from China which is actually amazing. Smooth, lovely formula, opaque in one coat! Too bad its so teeny!

Next for the white stripes I used the trusty Models Own nail art pen in white, never fails, to draw three vertical lines on each nail bar the ring finger. Then I grabbed a pretty blue Kiss Nail Art paint, which comes with a conveniently thin brush & applied across the top half of the nail.

For an added bit of sparkle I also added some Claire's Blue Glitter polish on top the blue & then applied Julep's America polish on the ring finger which was pretty much perfect for this mani with its lovely combo of red, silver & blue glitters of mixed sizes.

For the final touch I quickly added on a star rhinestone to each nail before sealing it all with a couple of coats of topcoat.

Thanks for reading lovelies & hope all you US beauties have a great weekend of celebrations! Do you have anything special planned?

Lotsa love to ya!

Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blush in Stare-Struck

Ello ello dearhearts & a happy hump day to ya! Midweek point has been reached hurrah & I can feeeeeel the weekend just that wee bit closer woohoo! :D

I've got bit of a gimmicky beauty product to share with you lovelies today, ain't they always fun? Now this was purely a makeup fix purchase to satisfy that urge we all get from time to time...some more often than others ;) So I hotfooted to the only place that could fulfil said urge, Boots! And it was here that my eye caught this cute little Cheek Stamp blush offering by the makeup brand Seventeen.

My immediate thought upon seeing this was “Oooh, you look a wee bit different to your bog standard blusher, think I'll take you home with moi to play with!” The Cheek Stamp blush comes as a cute compact little twisty pot of a convenient size with even an adorable little mirror on top.

Now I wouldn’t say that blusher was a makeup product I would necessarily re-apply during the day, but this little pot is nifty enough to pop in the makeup bag & hey, a gal can never have too many little mirrors eh? As mentioned before the product comes with a sponge stamp attached with the actual blusher product within the lid.

The sponge attachment has a spring like action which allows you to press down on to the blusher, twist a little from side to side, thus picking up enough product on to the sponge. The blusher itself, this was shade Stare-Struck, is a lovely mauve pink shade the formula of which is nice & smooth, not too chalky or powdery & also has a slight shimmer to it, but nothing overly glittery. I do feel that it could have been a tad more pigmented though.

When it comes to application, you just apply the blusher directly onto the apples of the cheeks using the sponge stamp. The roundness of the sponge does give one the 'cabbage patch kid' look at first, however this is easily rectified by simply blending out with your fingertips or a brush.

Overall I think the Cheek Stamp Blusher is a cute innovative little product, I would definitely love it a lot more if it was just that teensy bit more pigmented! Or perhaps I just opted for a colour too pale for my skin tone. But I do love me a beauty product that's cute & different which this little un certainly is! The Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blusher retails for £4.99 is available from Boots.

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have you tried the Cheek Stamp blusher? Do you have any beauty favourites by the brand Seventeen?

Lotsa love to ya!
