Got That 'Floral Feeling' OOTD...Plus A Bit O' Face Mask Lovin!

Greetings lovely readers! Wooo, its been a while non? Hope you're all good & well? So my loves, how glorious was the weather last weekend?? I, like I'm sure lots of you deffo made the most of it & by that I mean of course dusting off & donning items from the summer wardrobe..."Well hello there you!" & then lounging outdoors doing as little as possible whilst consuming copious amounts of BBQ'd food stuffs & cool drinks :) Good times! However it seems the Sun is determined to tease us because if mine eyes doth deceive me, those were some particularly dark looking clouds I saw in the heavens today...Boo clouds, be gone!
Anyhoos, I am so happy this weeks is finally over! Work has been truly murderous, what with the upcoming bank holidays, we're trying to do as much as possible before then, hence the lack of blogging :( But I got me the day off tomorrow for my cousins wedding which will be nice. Its gonna be a full on Pakistani affair so should be good & hey, I'm not one to pass up on a good meal! Ha ha I kid ;) well... Before that though I intend to make the most of my day of freedom & will be heading to the salon for some major pampering baby! Mani, Pedi, Massage the works! Can't wait!
Before I go on to the OOTD I just needed to ask....so what do y'all think of the blog! As you can see its had a bit of a makeover job & its all thanks to the amazingly fab Abby! Thank you so much for all your help lovely, you're an absolute gem & I'm so happy with how its all looking! Mwah! :)
Now I'm seriously feeling the flower power lately (& not in a hippy, spliff happy, world peace kinda way...although whatever rocks your boat...) but with regards to clothing. Its strange, I never thought myself to be into florals all that much, what with black being my fav colour, but hey it turns out I am! Majorly so! Blatantly obvious methinks with the recent dress of choice...
I picked up this particular dress from New Look donkeys ago & still love it! The colours deffo qualify as vibrant & summery & the material is a lovely, lightweight cotton making it a perfick summer dress! Love the additional details of winged sleeves & blingy purple detailing. I wore my usual black leggings & kitten heels (love!) with it plus an ickle cardi as we are not in scorching summer yet! Although I am beginning to wonder if it'll ever come! To accessorize I wore a necklace I picked up in the M&S sale which is made up of lotsa lovely turquoise beads. M&S do impress me muchly every now & again with their collections. I'll be honest & say I associated this store mostly with the errr older generation but clearly not!
I also found the belt buried deep in me box of belts (yes...I have a BOX just for my belts... :s *cough!) with yup...flowers on it! Well, when you're on a roll, you're on a roll! So into the OOTD it went! Hmmm I guess I'm hoping that if I wear bright enough clothes it'll coax the Sun out! lol!
Other than florals, another thing I am totally loving at the mo is face masks! The ones by a certain Mr Jeunesse in particular :) I picked up a selection of these after seeing they were on offer & thought may as well jump on the bandwagon & see why they're loved so much!

So far I've only tried the aromatherapy one, which smells lovely & herbal & was deeply relaxing. I found I could actually get about four good treatments out of the one sachet which is great! My skin visibly looked a lot more glowy & healthy looking so there's deffo a strong love growing here for these ;) Can't wait to try the others too, although slightly worried about the strawberry one...it looks good enough to eat! You can pick these gorguz masks up from around the £1 mark at various pharmacies, Asda's & Boots to name a few!
Have y'all ever tried Montagne Jeunesse face masks? What face masks are you currently loving? Would love some new ones to try out too! Big up on the face pampering, hell, on all over pampering! :) Thanks for reading dolls!

Lotsa loves to ya!

Gone A Bit Dotty...OOTD & Nails Made Easy :)

Hi-di-hi lovelies! Y’all having a good start to the week? Hope all the mumma’s out there got spoilt rotten this past weekend! Only just finished off the last piece of cake, couldn’t have it going to waste now, that would just be sacrilege.
Now don’t get worried by the title of this post, I haven’t gone off the rails…yet. This week for some reason unbeknownst to moi, I seem to have developed a rather insane love for polka dots. I don’t know, something about them just screams summer times!
I've wanted to try out this whole nail wrap business for the longest time now, quick & easy funky nails without the hassle of waiting around for it to dry?? Err yes please! I just wasn’t sure which ones to go for as there seemed to be quite a few out there. I was really happy to receive some groovy silver foil ones in the KISS goody bag I got from the NBBE event, but looking at the instructions it seemed that with these particular ones you need to heat up the strips first as well as cut them to the size of the nail before applying. Hmmmm, not exactly quick & easy, not to mention I don’t own a mini hair dryer for such a purpose.
But not to fear, as I’ve now discovered the amazing nail wraps from Nailease, which really are just what they say, thanks to the awesome Kellie aka BigFashionista! Who, can I just say, is quite possibly the funniest lovely lady I have ever the pleasure to come across! Both she & her blog are fab! :) Kellie did a great post on said nail wraps, showing us all just how simples they are to use by not just applying on herself, but also inviting Mr Fashionista (aka her hubby!) into the act & having him apply them too! Blooming Brilliant! Seeing the results, which looked absolutely gorguz on him too I must say, I was sold! I mean if a guy can do it, the surely Miss Tres Clumsy Super Retarded that is yours truly can give it a go!
So off I went to my friendly neighbourhood Boots to pick me up some Nailease! Was a tad disappointed though at the very minimal choice on offer, only two designs! Hope Boots start getting more in as I can see a nail wrap addiction on the cards…

The nail wraps retail for £5.99 & the design I opted for was…yup, black & white polka dots! In the pack you get 20 nail polish strips of different sizes to fit all nail shapes, as well as a buffer & cuticle pusher so you can smooth your nail surface ready for the nail wrap.
Once the nails were all buffed to the max, next step was to pick the nail strip that was as close to the size of my nail as possible & peel off the sticky adhesive on both sides. Each strip has a silver tab that you can hold onto whilst positioning the wrap on the nail making it much easier to manoeuvre & the fab thing with these is that if you make a mistake with the placing of it, just simply lift it up off the nail & try again until its in a position you’re happy with! Once satisfied just smooth over with your finger to get rid of any wrinkles.
I found the filing off the excess strip process a tad tricky & on some of the nails I think I may have got a bit over excited & filed too much! But hey, practice makes perfect non? And after the 1st coupla goes you deffo get the knack of it! I found if you simply tug a little bit, most of the excess strip comes away easy, so you only need to file a teeny bit to neaten the tip.
And that is it lovelies! No nonsense waiting around, flapping the hands like a psychotic bird, waiting for polish to dry. Just lovely, glossy nails in an uber fab design good to go!

I absolutely love the polka dot print & received some lovely compliments on them which is always nice! Can’t wait to get my hands on some more fab designs to play with, the animal prints in particular are calling to me, so I think its safe to say I am a nail wrap convert!
Carrying on with my new found love of dots, for my OOTD I opted for a fav dress of mine that I picked up in a Debenhams sale last year. I call it my Minnie Mouse dress hehe!
I guess you can see why! :) Red with white polka dots, I am deffo channelling my inner Disney mouse. I just teamed it with some simple black skinny’s, t shirt & kitten heel slingbacks... el finito!  The thing I loved most was the contrast of the black and red polka dots from the nails & dress, which I thought went really well together!
What do y’all think? Are you feeling the polka dot thang? Have you ever tried nail wraps? Would love to know! Thanks for reading sweetpeas!

Lotsa dotty love!

Mumma Love & Some Recently Rocked Red - NOTD, OOTD & Lets Throw in a SOTD with Some New Boots Too!

Happy Friday loves! Wow, rather OD'd on the OTD's there huh? Haha try & say that 10 times faster! Anyhoos, did y'all survive today & any foolishness that came your way? Luckily mine wasn't too eventful which is shocking as I'm probably the worlds most gullible person! But its not just about the pranks as April Fools Day also happens to be my little kitty's birthday :) A fact that always has me in hysterics & yet explains so very much...bless her. Hope y'all had a good week & have some lovely things planned for the weekend, especially with the mumma's! My mumma bear is truly my rock for sure, really don't know what I'd do without her. Yeah like all mother/daughters we have our moments where it seems like WW3 is about to break out any minute! But I love & am so grateful for the fact that she is not just a mother but my best matey too *sniff, wipes away tear* ;) & can make me almost pass out with the giggles in even the most serious of situations! But of course our mothers shouldn't just be appreciated on only one day in the year! I shall deffo make the effort to let her know as often as poss how awesome she is! :) But for now the pressies all wrapped up, cake's ordered & menus all set for Sunday!
Moi & the Mumma :)
Now lets on with the post shall we? I was deffo feeling in the mood for reds on the nails recently but none of the colours I own were shouting out to me! So off I toddled over to Boots for a sneaky browse during my lunch break (shh don't tell anyone!) & came away with a Rimmel polish in Double Decker Red no less, which is just about as red as you can get!

I honestly don't know why I don't have more Rimmel polishes in my collection as not only are they cheap & cheerful at only a few squids but they have huge range of gorguz colours to choose from. Like I said, this is deffo a red that deserves a rockin status. The polishes are lovely to apply & glossy too, High Five Rimmel! I did my random thing of course & applied a little crown nail sticker on the ring finger too ;)

Oh & I have to ask, what do y'all lovelies think of my ring?? Do you like? I have seriously been wearing this gorguz beast like everyday, no matter if it didn't go with what I was wearing! My lovely girl Vonnie sent me this fab bit o' jewelery porn from Forever21 in a makeup swap we recently did, will deffo share with y'all all the other lovely bits & bobs she sent me soon! Thanks girly! Mwah! :)
Onto the OOTD, I decided to opt for a dress that makes me feel all 70's with its psychedelic whirls of red, purple & orange, yeah baby! I think I picked this one from Bay Trading a coupla years back ( so does that count it as a vintage piece?? haha!) I do love this oldie though & because theres still a slight chill in the air simply teamed it with the fav crop cardy from H&M which you will no doubt see a lot of on here, I do like my cardis... :)

The SOTD's in case y'all are wondering are me new boots! I'm so happy to finally have these boots from Dorothy Perkins which I have been lusting after since Xmas! I didn't think we'd ever be together these boots & me...I 1st ordered them in the Jan sales, where they then decided disappear & get lost whilst on route to moi. After a few emails back & forth with DP I was left fully refunded with my moneys but alas totally bootless! Then recently I saw these babies had been reduced even further, a definite sign, so thought 'what the hell!' lets give this another shot shall we & this time...success!

I have my boots! :) a plus point on them being majorly reduced from the original price, so it was clearly not meant to be the 1st time! Their 100% leather which is fab & I love the wedge heel detail to give that added bit of lift, they're also fab at keeping the pins warm! Can see myself teaming these with many an outfit so they will definitely be given alotta love :)
Thanks for reading my lovelies! Have you made any new love purchases lately? New bag, or boots like yours truly? Have a fab weekend & Mothers Day chica's!

Lotsa hugs & smooches!
